The Havana Main Street Ambassador Program is more than a volunteer opportunity—it’s a chance to shape the first impression of our town and share what makes Havana special. Ambassadors are the friendly faces who greet visitors at our Welcome Center, housed in the iconic Slappey Building, and help bring our downtown to life. With every conversation, question answered, or local tip shared, Ambassadors strengthen the connection between our community and those discovering it. What Ambassadors Do
Ambassadors volunteer in three-hour shifts at the Welcome Center, offering a warm hello and helpful information to guests and locals alike.
- Greet visitors and answer questions
- Share upcoming events and downtown highlights
- Offer context about Havana’s history and landmarks
- Provide light administrative support to the Executive Director
- Help keep the Welcome Center a welcoming space for all
