Havana Main Street has acquired what is locally known as, "The Old Havana State Bank Building" on the corner of Main Street and 7th Avenue West. This acquisition was made possible by a contribution from a benevolent donor who is passionate about preserving our historic downtown. The building is in a state of disrepair and without immediate restoration, will be another candidate for demolition. Our goal is to repair and restore this historic downtown treasure! Planned use of the building will hopefully include, but not be limited to:
A new Havana Welcome Center, the Havana Main Street office, and rented office space. Havana Main Street has kicked off a Capital Campaign to raise $100,000 to assist in funding the restoration. We are asking individuals and businesses to partner with us to help us save this historic downtown building.
