In November 2018, Havana Main Street debuted it's new quilt murals in conjunction with the Big Bend Quilt trail of Gadsden County. Six quilt murals were presented at Havana's first quilt show and there is currently one more that has been commissioned for this year. These murals, painted by local artist, depict classic quilts and are placed in and on buildings and stores throughout the Big Bend. Havana will host a second quilt show September 21, 2019, joining with the Gadsden Arts Center in Quincy which will have a classic quilt display in their galleries from 09/14/19 through 12/14/19. A beautiful king size quilt, donated by master quilter Wendy Adams will be raffled during the Havana show. Many of the downtown merchants have tickets for purchase.
