Rules and Regulations

  1. This market is a farmers and artisan market and small businesses.  This is not a buy/sell show or flea market. Please don’t bring antiques to sell at our Havana Market. This rule is in place out of respect for all the antique shops in the area. Any permitted MLM vendors will be limited at the Market Managers’ discretion.

  2. All vendors will be assigned a site number.  Set up begins at 8am on the day of the market.  When you arrive, please unload your vehicle quickly and move your vehicle as soon as possible before beginning setup to clear the way for other vehicles.

  3. Vendor booths may not be dismantled before 2pm.  For safety reasons, no cars may be brought into the display area until all visitors have left.  Please have your booth completely packed and boxed up before bringing your vehicle to your site to load.  Failure to abide by this or by not showing up at all will result in not being allowed to participate in future markets.

  4. Your registration reserves you a pre-assigned 10 x 10 site that is assigned at our discretion to ensure the same products are not showcased side by side and to offer a variety to our visitors.  If you have a special request as far as location, or to be beside a specific vendor, please let us know and we will do our best to fulfill requests.

  5. In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made regarding the Market and will be communicated to all vendors via Facebook, email, phone and or text messaging.  The decision to cancel a Market due to weather conditions is for the safety of vendors and visitors alike.

  6. We rent our venue from the Shade Tobacco Museum so please remember to clean up after you break down. Vendors are responsible for supplying a tent, table, chairs, etc.

  7. Be creative with your product displays.  Your display is what will attract visitors to your booth.  Your quality products and winning personalities are what will keep them there, so please put some thought and effort into your set up.

  8. Due to fire hazards, there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the Market grounds.

  9. The Market is a pet-friendly event.  All pets must always be leashed and under your control.  Please clean up after your four-legged baby.

  10. Our Market Manager charges $15.00 for a booth fee to vendors for participation in the market.  This goes towards both our rental of the property and a social media ad. Vendors agree to pay the Vendor Fee to the Market Manager by the end of the event.

  11. If you need electricity for the completion of your product, there are limited sites available. There will be an additional $15 fee that goes directly to the Shade Tobacco Museum for the convenience.

  12. Havana Mainstreet and/ or the Market Manager reserves the right to limit the number of vendors and artists displaying the same type of products.  In the interest of fairness, we try to keep a balance between all types of products for our vendors sake and for the variety for our customers.

  13. If you haven’t already, please like and follow the Havana Market’s Facebook page and share it.  If you have a logo and shareable photos about your products, please send it to us and we will help to promote your participation in the Market.

  14. We will communicate primarily through email and our closed Facebook group.  If you aren’t already a member of this group, you will receive an invitation to join shortly.  Please check your email and this group page frequently for any updates, especially as it gets closer to the market.  We have found that this is the most efficient way to communicate with everyone.

  15. Sharing of your booth space with another vendor is permitted but only with permission from the Market Manager.

  16. Vendors will conduct themselves in a manner that is courteous to other vendors, Market volunteers and the public.

  17. Vendors are asked to keep their area clean and barrier free during the market hours.  Vendors are asked to clear their area completely at the end of the market.  All trash should be placed in the trash receptacle or removed from the property.

  18. The Havana Mainstreet Havana Market does not carry insurance to cover individual vendors.  Vendors are responsible for their own personal liability and product liability insurance.

  19. Vendors are required to follow the Florida Cottage Food Industry rules and regulations if applicable to their products.

  20. If a customer or vendor affects the product of a vendor in such a way as to make the product unsellable, the person(s) who damaged the item is required to pay for the product. Vendors who do this may be excluded from future markets.

  21. Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting any applicable sales tax.
